This pilgrimage yatra itinerary has been designed with a view to facilitate the best possible comfort with less traveling days. Being you have to drive very much less hours with compare to overland journey, we can say it focus your comfort of journey in luxury way as you will also have flight of domestic aircraft & helicopter in addition. Hence, it is specially planned for those pilgrims or travelers who wish to travel in short span of time with best available facility for their comfort journey.
This is 10 days program itinerary starting from Kathmandu. You will also able to cover major sightseeing of Kathmandu like Pashupatinath Temple & Budhanilkantha Temple. Pashupatinath Temple is the biggest Hindu temple of Lord Shiva which we consider must to visit before your Kailash Yatra for smooth operation by the blessings of Lord Shiva.
In this tour, you will find everything goes in order and in comfortable; however we may sometimes face little upset in the smooth program if our program affect by bad weather. You can see in below itinerary that you will have flight to one of Nepal’s remote region like Simikot & Hilsa. Here our program sometimes affected by bad weather condition due to which our flights will not take off for another destination and we have to stay back in same destination for next day attempt. Due to this, our program will not go ahead and will impact in our normal program schedule. Hence, we would like to request our travelers to aware with such unexpected situation and be mentally prepare to avoid any misunderstanding during our program operation. Also, if possible please manage your return flight ticket with endorsement facility so that just in case of any changes require to postpone the ticket you can easily endorse with paying small amount of postpone charge. Sometimes, passenger bought non-refundable ticket being cheaper price which is not appropriate in this trip, especially for return ticket.
Kindly go through below day by day itinerary to review all highlighted places or monuments that you will visit in this tour program. 


Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu
Upon arrival in Kathmandu at Tribhuvan International Airport, meet by our tour officer who will greet you with warm welcome and transfer to the Hotel. Today you will have leisure day. We will keep short briefing program on your tour, lead by our tour manager in the evening at 7.30 pm and will have dinner later by 9 pm.

Day 02: Sightseeing Tour & Fly to Nepalgunj
Morning, you will have very good breakfast in the hotel. And we will commence sightseeing tour of Pashupatinath temple & Budhanilkantha (Jal Narayan) temple (sleeping Vishnu). Return back to hotel and have lunch in hotel. Then we will transfer you to domestic airport for your onward journey to Nepalgunj by domestic flight. Our representative will receive you at the airport in Nepalgunj and transfer to Hotel. Rest day at leisure and meeting with other group members in team who travel through Lucknow directly to Nepalgunj.
• Overnight at Hotel Kalptaru or similar (twin sharing room with attached bathroom)
• Kathmandu to Nepalgunj by Aircraft: 1 hour (approx.)
Day 03: Flight to Simikot by domestic aircraft & continue helicopter flight to Hilsa then drive to Purang / Taklakot (3700 m)
You have to wake up very early morning, breakfast will be serve in hotel and then our tour manager will transfer you to the airport for your flight to Simikot. The flight timing will be normally start by 6.00 am and the flight take off will depend on weather condition of Nepalgunk & Simikot region. Sometimes the flight will delay by few minutes or by few hours OR even cancelled also in case of unexpected bad weather in between. In such situation, we request the travelers to be patience and co-operate our team for smooth operation. If flight cancelled, we will stay in Nepalgunj and will try for next day.
Upon landing in Simikot, our tour manager will assist you for completing immigration formalities and then arrange charter helicopter to fly Hilsa (Nepal border). In Hilsa, our local representative will take care in teahouse untill all group landed in Hilsa so the earlier flight group will have to wait for a while. And then he/she will escort you to go for Tibet border with the arrangement of necessary porters for carrying your luggage. Sometimes, we may have to wait in Hilsa for some extent even after all groups arrive because we have to check Tibet side whether the guide & vehilce reach in border or not. Sometimes, it takes little longer time for Tibetan guide in order to receive us along with all permit and military formalities. Once everything is in order, we cross border to Tibet and we drive to Taklakot (Purang - 3700 m.) from Sher (China border) which takes about an hour. 
• Overnight at Hotel Himalaya or similar (triple sharing room with attached bathroom)
• Nepalgunj to Simikot: 1 hour (by Twin otter aircraft OR Dronier aircraft with 18 seats)
• Simikot to Hilsa: 15 minutes by B2/B3 (Euro copter) Helicopter with 5 or 6 seats 
• Hilsa to Sher trek: 15 minutes 
• Sher to Taklakot drive: 25 km / 1 hour by bus
Day 04: Acclimatization Day.
You will have rest today in Taklakot (Purang) for acclimatization. You have to go for light walking around Taklakot town to adjust your body with Tibet climate. 
• Overnight at Hotel Himalaya or similar (triple sharing room with attached bathroom)
Day 05: Drive, Purang to Lake Manasarovar (Chiu Gompa) – 4600 m.
After early morning breakfast, we will be ready to leave for our ultimate destination at Lake Mansarovar (4560 m- Chui Gompa). Enroute our journey, you will see the breathtaking views of Rakshas Taal (Lake Ravana) with background view of Holy Mount Kailash, where our vehicle will take short break for photography. And you will stopover in Lake Manasarovar for holy dip and perform homage to Mt. Kailash & Mansarovar as per your own religious way. 
• Overnight at Guesthouse (all dormitory room) – Dharamshala type with common Tibetan toilet
• Taklakot to Lake Manasarovar: 85 km / 2 hours 
• The distance of Manasarovar circumambulation: 72 km / 3 hrs
Day 06: Drive, Manasarovar to Yama Dwara Darshan then start trek to Diraphuk (4950 m)
Today morning again you have to ready early as possible. We are not staying in Darchen; we continue our journey for Kailash Kora. In the morning we reach Yama Dwar (OR Sherson / 4750m) after driving about one & half hours. It is the auspicious gateway to the Parikrama (circuit) around the Mt. Kailash. The group will have best opportunity for nearest view of Mt. Kailash and receive great darshan. Also, the group will split from this end in two parts. Those who are going ahead to attempt parikrama by foot or by horse ride will continue their trek journey. And who are not going for Parikrama will return back to Purang after Yama Dwar & Kailash darshan. Our guide will assist to manage the transport for their return journey into Hotel at Darchen and they have to wait for two days in Purang until trekkers group return back.
And the parikrama / trekkers group will continue their trek towards Diraphuk. Today you will have easy and flat trekking trail with short gradual climbs. The trek will last for 5 hours covering about 14 kms distance in first day. Reaching Diraphuk, our guide or Sherpa will assist you for accommodation in the guesthouse and also serve hot tea/coffee in room. Here you will be lucky and will have blessings from Lord Shiva to see the closest view of North face of Mt. Kailash. Also, one who reached early in the afternoon and fit healthy can go for Charan Sparsh of Mt. Kailash with another short hike about 2 hours.
• Overnight at Guesthouse or Tented Lodge (basic accommodation with dormitory room)
• Lake Manasarovar to Darchen – 40 km / 1 hour drive 
• Darchen to Yam Dwar: 8 km / 30 minutes drive
• Yama Dwar to Diraphuk trek: 14 km / 5 hrs 
Day 07: Trek to Zuthulphuk (4850 m) via Dolma La Pass (5600 m)
Today we have to start our trekking journey to Zuthulphuk before dawn. So, our team will serve you the earliest breakfast in the morning and begin uphill trekking continue till Dolma-la Pass (5600m). We can say this is the toughest day of the whole trip. The trail start from your guesthouse will continue ascent until you cross Dolma-la pass. After you descend from high pass, you will soon notice the holy lake – Gauri Kunda at bottom of the hill. It is believed that Parvati (the consort of Lord Shiva) took holy bath in this glacial lake and thus it became holy water. The downhill trails rapidly drops to the valley of Zuthulphuk and then the trails will continue go flat alongside of river until Zuthulphuk Monastery where your guesthouse accommodation will also arrange. You will trek about 22 km distance within 8 or 9 hours today.
• Overnight at Guesthouse (basic accommodation with dormitory room)
• Deraphuk to Zuthulphuk Gomba: 22 km / 8 to 9 hours trek
Day 08: Finish Trek near Darchen & Drive back to Purang and continue exit to Hilsa
Trekkers (Parikrama) group will have flat and easy trekking today with short distance for 2 hours. After breakfast in the early morning, you will start your hike to near Darchen valley. The distance is about 11 km and at the end of trek point you will find our vehicle waiting for us. After all group members reach in that point, our vehicle will drop us at Purang via making kora of Lake Manasarovar. In Purang you will have short rest with quick lunch and transfer to Sher along with all group members who are waiting for trekkers. The guide will manage all formalities of immigration follow by military officer till Sher border. After customs process, we will exit to Hilsa (Nepal Border) by crossing suspension bridge of Karnali River. Our Hilsa representative will assist to receive us in border with arranging necessary porters. You will have basic accommodation in local lodge at Hilsa with simple normal meals. 
• Overnight at Basic Lodge (basic accommodation with dormitory room)
• Zuthulphuk to trek ending point: 2 hours walk - 11 km (approx.)
• Trek ending point to Purang: 145 km / 3 hours drive
• Purang to Sher drive: 25 km/ 1 hr
• Sher to Hilsa trek: 10 min
Day 09: Fly, Hilsa – Simikot (Heli) – Nepalgunj (fixed wing aircraft) - Kathmandu
Early morning breakfast will be serve and you have to be in ready position for fly back to Hilsa. The helicopter can come at anytime in the morning as per weather situation to receive us. Our Hilsa representative will help to board you & your luggage in Helicopter and fly back to Simikot. On arriving Simikot, our tour manager or Simikot representative will assist you for next flight to Nepalgunj continuously as per flight schedule.
And when you reach Nepalgunj our representative will again help you arranging connection ticket to Kathmandu flight.
Here we would like to request that sometimes the travelers have to wait till evening or next day morning for their flight to Kathmandu because sometimes the flight seats will not be available in same day for all group members in case of big group at a time. However, our manager will arrange hotel accommodation in Nepalgunj if you have to stay back in Nepalgunj and we will manage the first flight in the morning to reach Kathmandu.

• Hilsa to Simikot: 15 minutes flight by Helicopter 
• Simikot to Nepalgunj: 1 hour flight by aircraft
• Nepalgunj to Kathmandu: 1 hour flight by aircraft
Day 10: Departure
After breakfast, our tour officer will do farewell transferring you to the International Airport for your flight to home.

Travel Guide

1.    The travelers booked for Kailash helicopter requires to be prepare with flexibility in time frame. Being you are flying through remote mountain region of Nepal to begin your holy trip to Kailash, there might be the problems of facing bad weather condition. In such condition, the domestic flight (aircraft & helicopter) may cancel or delay. And this makes the program interrupted by few days so our company will not be liable to take any responsibility to bear any extra cost thereof incur due to such unforeseen circumstances which is beyond our control. We cannot guarantee and cannot bear responsibility assuring you about weather condition. Thus, we would suggest to travel with flexibility in time & with your works while joining helicopter tour. The travelers should itself bear all additional expenses in terms of extra night hotel & meals or any extra charter flights diverting normal flight as per package.
However, this situation is not often and occurs in some cases so it is just awareness to the travelers with such possible conditions and makes you prepare mentally not to be worry. We will try our best to overcome with such conditions with any possible solution in which we appreciate your kind co-operation.
2.    We use fixed-wings aircraft (Avro OR Beech Aircraft OR Jet stream) while flying from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj & provide twin otter OR Dornier to Simikot. The flight route over Nepalgunj & Simikot lies mountain region and the weather is unpredictable so this region is affected by bad climate sometimes. You may have to wait in Nepalgunj or in Simikot if the flight did not operate due to bad weather. Either you may have to wait for next day or may be for another couple of days also if the weather is worst condition. In such crucial case, we may check alternative option of charter helicopter, but it will cost some supplement amount which the passengers should pay directly and it must be manage under mutual decision of whole group for chopper arrangement.
Similarly, we manage French Euro copter (BE/B2/B3) with 5 to 7 seats capacity and will carry 5 to 6 passengers depending upon load for Simikot to Hilsa sector. We would also manage MI-17 Helicopter with 24 passengers capacity also in case of availability by the time of this trip operation. Please note very important point that Helicopter will accept 12 kg weigh each passenger including luggage & handbag. Please leave your unnecessary luggage in hotel store at Kathmandu or Nepalgunj and carry only important stuff for 6 days trip in Kailash.
3.    You will facilitate with deluxe & standard hotel accommodation in Kathmandu & in Nepalgunj respectively. And after you leave Nepalgunj the comfort of accommodation will be basic type. You will have dormitory accommodation with common toilet in Tibet except Taklakot. We will manage twin or triple sharing room with attached bathroom in Taklakot which is the only best available accommodation in Tibet. Similarly, you cannot expect single room or private room in whole trip in Tibet except in Kathmandu & in Nepalgunj. Hilsa stay on return at border will be also very basic.
4.    This tour is generally arranged in group volume basis joining pilgrims from different region of India & from other overseas countries. So, if any individual or family members would like to split from the group and return back from Kailash after manasarovar holy bath and Kailash darshan which is beyond tour schedule time then he/she or they are liable to pay for all extra expenses incur for this emergency exit. The general expenses will be visa splitting cost, extra transportation fee,  extra hotel accommodation and helicopter flight cost (need extra charter beyond the schedule time). There will not be any refund or adjustments from our company for such customize services.
We suggest to take insurance policy to cover such extra emergency expenses so that your travel will be more safe and useful to utilize insurance benefits to overcome from such unexpected or emergency high expenditures. Kindly be noted that there will not be any consideration from Chinese Government for any unutilized services after you join the tour with permit, visa & necessary tour arrangements. 
5.    You have to carry passport or voting card while traveling from India to Nepal. There are number of flights connecting from major cities of India to Kathmandu and from any of which you can fly as per your convenient destination. One can also travel through overland to enter Nepal from India – Nepal border, there are 4/5 borders from where you can reach Nepal. The famous border entry is Sunauli which is near to Gorakhpur. Similarly, the helicopter tour passengers can also travel through Lucknow to Nepalgunj without reaching Kathmandu. If you join directly Nepalgunj from Lucknow then your tour itinerary will be shorter further more. 
6.    We apply Tibet permit in Lhasa with your passport copies and will obtain Chinese group visa at Chinese Embassy in Delhi for all Indian Nationals and in Kathmandu for all NRI nationals with your original passport. Thus, all Indian passport holders should send your original Passport to our Delhi office 15 days in advance for applying Tibet group visa. And we will handover your Passport to you at Delhi airport (if you are flying via Delhi) OR if time permits we can return back your passports to your address after we obtain visa. If you are not flying Kathmandu via Delhi, we will handover it either in Kathmandu OR in Nepalgunj. In this case, please don’t forget to carry your voting card with you while traveling. While travelers who are NRI passport holders should get visa in Kathmandu so they have to arrive Kathmandu before a visa working days (Mon through Friday). Or as per the time of policy you may have to arrive earlier days than of the normal tour arrival day in order to meet visa formalities and such additional days stay in Kathmandu will be extra cost to pay for accommodation & meals.
